The Wonderful World of Oak
Cedar Creek 2008 Estate Chardonnay $17.90
Aromas
of vanilla, almonds and lemon citrus. Flavours of spiced baked apple,
banana, toffeeand butterscotch blend nicely with subtle hints of vanilla
and toasty French oak on the palate.The creamy, complexity of this wine
is due to partial malolactic fermentation with minimum oakaging.
Quinta Ferreira 2008 Chardonnay $19.90
A
beautiful expression of Chardonnay, this wine was barrel fermented and
aged in both Frenchand American oak. We allowed the wine to go through
70% malolactic fermentation, to maintainthe acidity and gain some
creaminess on the finish. Notes of soft apple mingle with flavours
ofripe melon, pear and peach, framed together with tones of vanilla,
caramel, coconut and hazelnut.Enjoy now and over the next two years.
Wonderful with seafood, cheeses or on its own.
Black Hills 2008 Chardonnay $29.90
Rich
and luscious with bright flavours and aromas of apple, pear and mineral
with tropical notes.Complex bouquet of caramel and toffee accompany
this full bodied wine. This versatile Chardonnayis ideal with food and
pairs wonderfully with such fares as grilled chicken or halibut with
vanillabeurre blanc.
Mission Hill 2007 Reserve Merlot $24.99
This
elegant wine is smooth and balanced with lush layers of black plum,
cherry and ripe summerberries. The palate is enhanced by anise and
cocoa, which mingle with alluring notes of sweetoak for a long finish.
Rich and full bodied, the Reserve Merlot has been aged in French oak for
17months.
Howling Bluff 2008 Sin Cera $29.00
This
is a Meritage style blend of Howling Bluff estate grapes. Dominated by
Merlot (80% Merlot,4% Cabernet Franc, 16% Malbec) the wine shows intense
plum, black cherry and coffee withfurther complex flavours and aromas
of cassis, clove, cinnamon, pepper and chocolate. The finishis long and
complex with concentrated flavours that both linger and evolve. Built
for aging, thiswine has ripe, fine grained tannins that will reward 6-12
years in the cellar, or decanting to drinknow. The wine was aged in
premium French oak for 16 months.
Dirty Laundry 2007 Bordello $38.99
An
exotic swirl of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cab. Franc this gal is
silky, velvety, full bodied,and rather provocative. She will flirt with
you, and make you crave another encounter.

2007 White Meritage - was $24.99 NOW $15.99
A
blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon, this wine is typical of
thestyle of the great white wines of Bordeaux. This golden wine was aged
for 8months in a combination of French and American oak. An exemplary
blenddisplaying crisp gooseberry and honeydew melon and fresh tropical
fruits whilebalanced softly with a smooth, oaky vanilla finish.
2008 Merlot $15.99
Richly
ripe red and black fruits on the nose - dark cherry, blackberry
andraspberry. The good mid-palate weight rounds to a smooth, pleasant
velvetyfinish - great notes of fruit, vanilla and cassis are obvious to
the last.
2007 Cabernet Franc $19.99
Aromas
of spicy bell pepper and earthiness ascend from the glass while
thesecond fermentation and oak aging enhance the round flavours of plum
andcherry. The long, lingering finish is graced with a hint of cedar and
blackcurrant.
2005 Meritage $28.99
A
blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 25% Merlot,
thisMeritage showcases olive, cassis, molasses and creamy vanilla on the
nose. Thepalate is full with medium to high alcohol and firm tannins.
Look for blackberryfruit, mineral notes and warm spice through the mid
palate. The finish is long inits youth.
